Save souls and Save the planet. God's Will.

Driving into work this morning, I heard a little segment on @KLOVERadio about God and the environment. Does God want us to take care of the planet? The radio segment posed that question and answered it beautifully. God created everything we see, hear, smell, touch and hear, with love. Doing our part to preserve our resources, keeping our air and water clean, composting, using rain barrels, recycling, is loving what God created. Being good stewards of the planet is doing God's will. Yes, God does want us to be as green as possible, live below our means and take care of our environment, along with of course praising God and loving one another.
According to Vatican New Radio report, http://bit.ly/Y4HWUO, Daniel Hale is Progressio’s Head of Campaigns says the Pope has taken “some key themes” that existed in Catholic social teaching and has put “a contemporary spin on them.” He particularly singles out Pope Benedict’s teachings and statements on the need to protect our environment, noting that Benedict has often been dubbed “the green Pope”, after putting “solar panels” on the roofs of two buildings within the Vatican.
Let's hope the next pope continues the good work Pope Benedict XVI started regarding the environment.
