Top Ten List for New Pope

Here is my list for the Top Ten Qualities I would like to see in the next pope. The Prince of the whole priesthood of Christ.
1) Radiate Love. The new pope will have to demonstrate his Love of Jesus, as Jesus taught us. As the successor to Saint Peter, the first Pope of the church and one of Jesus's twelve apostles, the new Pope will need to radiate his love for Jesus and our Holy Father.
2) Humble. With all the glory and splendor of being the pope, he will have to humble himself to the World, as he is our servant. I expect a humble, charitable servant as my leader and example.
3) Younger, but wise. Being the pope will require a lot of traveling around the world. A younger pope will be able to plant the seeds of the church and Jesus around the world, with the hope of reaping what has been sowed in his later years. A younger Pope will have a stronger appeal to the youth of this world and will help with the re-envengalizing movement.
4) World Traveller. The message of the Lord Jesus needs to be spoken around the world. The apostles travelled far and wide spreading the love of the Lord. I pray that our new Pope will be able to go out an touch many different lands and hearts face to face.
5) Charismatic. One billion people are Catholics. If we want this body of Christ to grow, we must Love more. By genuinely loving our neighbors, we do it with charisma and with our whole heart. With love and charisma we can conquer cold hearts.
6) Technology Minded. To play the devil's advocate, would the Apostles use Twitter and Facebook to spread the news and love of Jesus? Would Jesus himself use social tools? I say yes! The message is not changing by using the tools, it's just a new way of spreading it. Many more people will be able to save their souls if we can reach them via these technology avenues.
7) Demonstrated Leader. A leader for the poor, the broken hearted, sick and the left behind. The pope will need to love the least of these. While it's very important to be wise and scholarly, humbling one's self and being a servant for those in need is Jesus Christ leadership.
8) Non-European. The Catholic Church is a global institution with one billion followers from many different backgrounds. May the love of the Lord be demonstrated by different kind of person. Love is Love, no matter where it comes from. This will help re-establish and forge trust by the worldwide Catholics.
9) Inspirational. Remember back to grade school. Someone in your life inspired you to help shape who you are. It could have been mom, dad, cousin, neighbor or teacher. How many people or children will say the Pope or their priest did? I don't know, but I want my children to say that the Pope had a huge impact in who they want to be when they grow up.
10) Genuine. People are quick to judge and see through people. This becomes less of an issue when a person is genuine. A genuine person to me is one who connected to his beliefs, values tradition and respect, know and shares where they come from and is honest and trusting. There many skeptics ready to pounce on the new pope if this is any doubt of his message and persona.
Thank you for reading my list. May the Love of the Lord Jesus Christ shine through in everything you do! God Bless.
